T.A.R.G.E.T is Thrustmaster‘s free programming software, used to test, configure and program the stick and combine it with your other Thrustmaster controllers in a single profile.
Thrustmaster drivers and firmware are used to install the stick on your PC and keep its upgradeable firmware up to date.
The Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Flight Stick is the stand-alone joystick of the HOTAS Warthog, a replica of the U.S. Air Force A-10C attack aircraft’s flight stick, officially licensed by the U.S. Air Force. It comes from the creator of the original HOTAS concept and of two benchmark flight sim controllers, the HOTAS Cougar and the HOTAS Warthog, and it is built for expert military aviation simmers who want a stick that feels and responds like the real thing. It can be used on its own or combined with the rest of Thrustmaster‘s expert flying ecosystem.
Precision comes from the H.E.A.R.T (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) system, which uses 3D magnetic sensors to deliver 16-bit resolution, or 65,536 x 65,536 values, with no gimbals, for surgical precision that won’t decrease over time. The detachable handle is crafted entirely of metal in the shape of the A-10C stick, and pressing its buttons and trigger takes the same pressure as in a real aircraft. In total you get 19 action buttons plus an 8-way point of view hat: two 8-way hats, a 4-way hat with push button, a metal dual trigger, two push buttons and two pinkie push buttons.
The weighted base, at more than 3 kg, keeps the stick super stable on a desk, and its metal plate can be detached so the base can be installed in a cockpit. The stick connects over USB and features upgradeable firmware. It pairs with the HOTAS Warthog Dual Throttles, TFRP rudder pedals and MFD cockpit panels, all sold separately, and it is fully compatible with T.A.R.G.E.T (Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor), the free software suite used to test, configure and program Thrustmaster controllers, simulate virtual devices and share one profile across all of them.
