It is an add-on grip rather than a complete joystick: it installs on a compatible Thrustmaster joystick base, letting you swap the feel of your setup to match the aircraft you fly. While it is designed first for carrier-based fighter operations, it is equally at home in space and vintage flight-style games.
Crafted as a 1:1 scale replica under official Boeing license, the grip uses industrial-grade materials for a long product life, and its metal structure, inspired by the aircraft’s own stick, recreates the original handling sensations. It carries 19 action buttons, including an ultra-realistic 2-step trigger, giving you a varied and complementary set of controls for air-to-air combat and ground attack missions alike. In Digital Combat Simulator, the grip integrates natively with the F/A-18C module, so its controls line up with the in-game Hornet for an immersive, ready-to-fly experience.
The grip measures 60 x 80 x 204 mm and weighs 720 g, and it ships in a premium storage box to keep it protected when it is not mounted. It is compatible with Thrustmaster joystick bases: pair it with the legendary HOTAS Cougar base for a vintage look, or with the HOTAS Warthog base for a more modern setup. Please note this is a grip only; a compatible Thrustmaster joystick base is required and sold separately.
