The Thrustmaster AVA Desktop Plate is a metal support plate designed for the Thrustmaster AVA joystick base, built to give your stick a solid footing when you fly from a desk or table rather than a dedicated cockpit. A joystick base sitting directly on a desk can shift or lift during aggressive maneuvers, especially with firmer spring settings; the AVA Desktop Plate widens the footprint and adds weight under the base so it stays planted through takeoffs, dogfights and long sessions alike. It is part of the AVA (Advanced Versatile Aviation) ecosystem of accessories.
Stability is the whole point of this plate, and its size and mass were chosen accordingly. The plate measures 230 x 270 mm with a slim 3 mm profile and weighs 1470 g, a large and heavy footprint that counters the forces you put through the grip without taking up much height on your desk. Because the base is held firmly in place, the inputs you make go into the stick rather than into moving the whole unit, which helps keep your control precise and repeatable when it matters most.
Installation is quick and simple: the AVA Base attaches to the plate with the 4 screws included in the box, so you can be set up in minutes. The plate is finished in black with AVA branding and pairs naturally with the rest of the scalable AVA ecosystem, such as the AVA Offset Adapter and extra cams, springs and grips. No software or power is needed. Please note this is the desktop plate only; the AVA Base and a joystick grip are required and sold separately.
