MOZA Motion Manager is required to configure, calibrate, and run the system. It handles firmware updates, actuator position assignment, self test and position calibration, motion tuning across amplitude, intensity, and individual degrees of freedom, RGB and telemetry lighting, the Game Library, and AI Motion. Minimum firmware for testing is controller version 1.2.0.22 and actuator version 1.2.0.17 or later.

MOZA Haptic Motion Actuator HMA150 – Sim Racing Rig Motion System

The MOZA HMA150 Haptic Motion Actuator is MOZA’s first flagship motion platform, and it marks the moment MOZA’s sim racing and flight simulation ecosystem becomes complete. Built entirely in house, from the servo motor to the control software, the HMA150 brings real physical motion to your cockpit so that you feel the car through your body rather than only seeing it on screen. Suspension loading through a rally jump, curb vibration on a fast circuit, the bite of tyre grip at the limit, all of it is reproduced with a level of detail and responsiveness that benchmarks against the most expensive systems on the market while remaining far more accessible.

Where most motion systems force a compromise, the HMA150 refuses to. Traditional platforms tend to offer either large amplitude movement or fine high frequency detail, and almost always at a premium price. The HMA150 combines both in a single actuator, pairing a generous 150 mm of stroke for large scale dynamics with 150 Hz high frequency output for precise tactile feedback. The result is a platform that can throw the seat through a big landing one moment and let you feel a single expansion joint the next.

Four HMA150 actuators form the standard four axis, three degree of freedom platform, driving pitch, roll, and heave. The architecture is deliberately scalable, so the system can grow to six or seven axes for a full 6DOF cockpit in the future. Everything is managed through MOZA Motion Manager, MOZA’s own control software, which also introduces AI Motion, an AI powered feedback engine that brings motion to games that were never designed to support it.

MOZA Full Stack In House Engineering

MOZA is the first manufacturer in the industry to develop and produce racing simulators, flight simulators, and motion platforms entirely in house, and that vertical integration is what makes the HMA150 possible. At its heart is a self developed, high torque density servo motor with near zero cogging, which allows rapid transient response and smooth, continuous motion output. The motor is paired with high precision ball screw technology for high speed, accurate motion control. Proprietary control algorithms reproduce in game dynamics with high fidelity, and because the control software is developed by MOZA rather than adapted from third party tools, it offers open parameter adjustment and deep user customization without complicated setup.

Industry Leading Motion Performance

With a maximum stroke of 150 mm, a peak speed of 300 mm/s, and maximum acceleration in excess of 1 g, the HMA150 delivers dynamic performance directly comparable to flagship products. It reproduces a wide range of in game effects with authority, from the suspension compression of a rally jump landing to the sustained vibration of a curb during high speed circuit racing. The four axis, three degree of freedom configuration provides pitch, roll, and heave, giving your body the cues it needs to read weight transfer, traction, and road surface in real time.

High Frequency Tactile Detail

Feeling the big movements is only half of immersion. The HMA150 supports vibration frequencies up to 150 Hz, which exceeds the 100 Hz standard common among leading competitors, and this headroom is what lets the platform convey subtle information. Pronounced engine vibration scales with engine speed, and fine surface texture such as expansion joints and track imperfections comes through clearly. This high frequency capability is especially valuable for serious drivers, because the faithful reproduction of tyre grip helps build muscle memory and can support more consistent lap times.

AI Motion: Feedback for Games That Were Never Built for It

AI Motion is an AI powered motion feedback engine, and it is one of the most forward looking features of the platform. By applying AI models to analyze in game visuals and audio in real time, AI Motion interprets what is happening on screen, such as character movement, weapon fire, explosions, and vehicle behavior, and triggers matching motion and haptic effects. Think of it as real time translation between the game and the platform, which means AAA titles that offer no official telemetry or peripheral support can still deliver immersive motion.

A built in, scenario based effect library ensures the feedback feels appropriate rather than generic, so shooting feels like shooting, an explosion feels like an explosion, and a hard turn feels like a hard turn. Response is low latency and synchronized with the action on screen, and every effect can be adjusted and limited within the software so you can balance excitement, comfort, and safety to suit your own motion sensitivity. Configurations can be saved as presets and shared with other users.

Importantly, AI Motion does not replace telemetry. When a game provides telemetry data, that data remains the primary source for motion. When telemetry is unavailable, AI based recognition fills the gap. The two work together, and because new game support and effects arrive through software updates rather than hardware changes, the platform keeps gaining value over time.

MOZA Motion Manager Software

The newly developed MOZA Motion Manager is the professional control center for the system. It offers comprehensive parameter configuration and user defined customization, including motion amplitude, overall intensity, individual degree of freedom dynamics, and vibrotactile characteristics. The software automatically detects supported games and activates AI Motion where relevant, and AI models and effect libraries can be updated online. The everyday workflow is intentionally simple: open the software, launch the game, and experience motion feedback. For fine tuning, MOZA recommends adjusting only a few parameters at a time, testing them in game, and refining from there.

Refined, Purposeful Design

The HMA150 is engineered to look as serious as it performs. The actuator carries a sharply contoured yet balanced form inspired by the angular, aerodynamic styling of supercars, with integrated mounting sliders that allow the installation height to be adjusted. A restrained color scheme, matte black metallic finish with gold accent rings and logo detailing, reinforces a premium feel. RGB ambient lighting supports custom colors and real time telemetry integration, providing visual cues for system states such as ABS activation, traction control, and flag signals.

A key part of the design is the integrated axis controller architecture, which replaces the bulky 220 V industrial drive units and external servo controllers used by conventional systems. A compact main control box combined with side mounted axis control integration simplifies the whole system and reduces its physical footprint.

Safe, Home Friendly 48 V Power

The system runs on a 48 V DC high performance servo motor, a low voltage architecture chosen specifically with the home environment in mind. Compared with high voltage industrial systems, this approach improves operational safety and reliability, runs quietly, and is energy efficient, all of which matter when a motion rig lives in your home rather than a workshop.

Precision Control Hardware

A 21 bit magnetic encoder, offering approximately 2.09 million counts per revolution, resolves force feedback signals with exceptional accuracy for precise, faithful motion control. A 600 MHz high performance processor handles real time dynamic data through advanced control algorithms with low latency command execution. Together they contribute to the platform’s 8 ms response time (current specification, subject to future updates), which is the ultra low latency that makes the motion feel physically connected to the action on screen. The primary structure is built from high strength aluminum alloy, balancing low weight with the rigidity and durability a motion platform demands.

Rig and Profile Compatibility

The HMA150 is designed to mount to European standard aluminum profile cockpits, and getting this right is essential for correct operation and safety.

Compatible aluminum profiles are 4080, 40120, and 40160. Profiles such as 40120 or 40160 that have a closed central rail require an aluminum profile adapter accessory, which is sold separately. If your 4080, 40120, or 40160 profile does not have a closed central section, no adapter is needed.

Tube style cockpits are not currently supported.

For installation, all actuators must be mounted perfectly vertical, aligned at the same height using the rail scale as a reference, and secured with the supplied M8 hardware. The recommended rig size is L 1200 mm by W 750 mm, and the minimum installation distance is L 700 mm by W 500 mm. The main control box mounts to the rig, the actuators connect to it by RJ11 cable along with the emergency stop by RJ9 cable, and power is supplied through the included adapter into a standard 110 V to 220 V outlet.

Getting Started

Setup follows a clear sequence in MOZA Motion Manager. After installing the software and updating the controller and all four actuators to the required firmware, you connect all four actuators to the single controller (the controller has eight ports and there is no required port order), connect the controller to your PC, and power everything on. In the software you assign each actuator to its physical position, using the flashing red LED on top of each unit to identify it, then run the self test and position calibration so the system can measure the installation distances automatically. Once configuration is complete you enable the device with the START button, set up your games in the Game Library, and launch. A position calibration is recommended the first time the device is configured.

Game Compatibility

The platform currently supports mainstream racing simulation titles, with flight simulation support planned for the future. Through AI Motion, compatibility also extends to open world and action titles that lack native telemetry.

Tested and confirmed compatible at the time of writing: Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Assetto Corsa Evo, Assetto Corsa Rally, Automobilista 2, iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, RaceRoom Racing Experience, DiRT Rally 2.0, EA SPORTS WRC, F1 23, F1 24, F1 25, BeamNG.drive, Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator, Forza Horizon 5, Forza Motorsport, and Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced.

Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are confirmed but still under development.

Not yet tested, and therefore not yet verified, though potentially supported: DiRT 4, rFactor 2, Project CARS, Project CARS 2, Project CARS 3, Project Motor Racing, Richard Burns Rally, Forza Horizon 4, F1 2018 through F1 22, the WRC series (WRC 8, WRC 9, WRC 10, and WRC Generations), Live for Speed, KartKraft, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, Farming Simulator 22, and Farming Simulator 25.

MOZA plans to complete testing of every title on this list before the official release. Titles that have not yet been tested may still work, but they have not been verified by MOZA’s internal team, so there may be compatibility or performance differences until testing is complete.

Safety

Because this is a powered motion device, please follow the manufacturer’s safety guidance. Keep hands and feet clear of the actuators and the area beneath the seat while the system is active. Monitor your play time and take regular breaks. Do not disassemble the equipment, as doing so voids the warranty. Use only the factory supplied power supply, and never substitute a non standard supply even if the voltage and connector appear to match. Unplug and disconnect the unit if it will not be used for an extended period, and stop using it immediately and seek assistance if you notice anything abnormal.
