Asetek RaceHub is used to create profiles and set the steering range, bumpstops, overall force, damping and smoothing of the wheelbase.
The Asetek Racing La Prima Direct Drive Wheelbase is the most compact motor in the Asetek Racing direct drive range, but it is not built as an entry-level product. It shares the same build quality, durability and user experience as the larger Asetek bases, with a high-end encoder, slipring and electronics, and all vital parts made of aluminum and steel. Designed in Denmark, it suits PC sim racers who want a serious, long-lasting direct drive base at 12 Nm, with room to grow through an optional torque upgrade instead of a replacement.
The 12 Nm direct drive motor delivers force feedback with no cogging or lag, and a peak slew rate of 4 Nm/ms keeps fast events like kerbs, slides and snap oversteer sharp and immediate. A 22-bit encoder reads about 4,000,000 steps per revolution, a resolution of 0.000085 degrees, so even the smallest steering corrections are captured. The slipring is designed and tested to more than 200,000,000 rotations. When you want more strength, the La Prima Wheelbase Boost Kit raises output to 16 Nm.
The anodized extruded aluminum housing integrates the Asetek Racing Quick Release: press a paddle to release the wheel, with data and power passing through without cables, batteries or wireless signals. Up to five rear USB ports make the base the hub for your Asetek pedals, wheels and peripherals. T-nuts come pre-installed in the bottom grooves to slide into a rig, while table clamp, bottom, side and front mounts are available separately. RaceHub handles profiles, steering range, bumpstops, force, damping and smoothing. Please note a steering wheel is required and sold separately.
