T.A.R.G.E.T is Thrustmaster‘s free programming software, used to combine both sticks into a single USB device and to create mapping profiles for each game.
The Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Space Sim Duo combines two T.16000M FCS flight sticks in one box, so you can fly with a joystick in each hand. Right-handed and left-handed pilots fly the same way, with a stick under each hand, which spreads the controls of a spacecraft across both hands and puts dozens of functions within immediate reach. Thrustmaster designed the pack specifically for an outstanding space sim experience in titles such as Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous, and both sticks remain fully usable in other PC flight games that support two joysticks.
Each stick uses Thrustmaster‘s H.E.A.R.T HallEffect AccuRate Technology, with 3D magnetic sensors inside the stick that Thrustmaster rates at precision levels 256 times greater than other current devices. Because the magnets provide a friction-free mechanism, accuracy stays long-lasting and unchanging over time. A 2.8 mm helical spring delivers firm, linear and smooth tension. Every stick offers 16 action buttons, 12 on the base and 4 on the stick, with braille-style physical identification on 12 of them, plus an 8-way point of view hat switch and a twist rudder controlled by rotating the handle.
Both joysticks are fully ambidextrous, and a switch lets you configure the 12 base buttons for left-handed or right-handed use, so the two sticks can be set up as a mirrored pair. Replacement thumb rests and index finger rests are included to tailor the grips to each hand. The sticks connect to your PC over USB and work with the free T.A.R.G.E.T software, which can combine them with other Thrustmaster devices into a single USB device and load or create mapping profiles for each game. The setup can be expanded with the TFRP rudder pedals and MFD cockpit panels, sold separately.
