Thrustmaster Desk Mounting Kit (for T818 / T598)

The Thrustmaster Desk Mounting Kit is a mounting system that lets you use the T818 and T598 Direct Drive racing wheel bases on a desk or table, for a gaming experience without the need for a dedicated cockpit. It is the simple solution for drivers who race from their desk, or who want to set up and put away their base in a shared space, while keeping the solid attachment a Direct Drive base needs. The support adapts to all solid desks, so you can enjoy your racing wheel wherever you play.

Direct Drive bases produce strong, detailed Force Feedback, and a weak mount wastes it. The Desk Mounting Kit is crafted of metal and attaches with two sturdy clamps, holding the base firmly to the desk so you can take full advantage of its Force Feedback without the base shifting under load. The kit consists of a plate that receives the base and the two clamping hooks that secure it to the edge of the desk or table, giving a rigid, stable platform for hard braking zones, quick corrections and long sessions.

The kit is not limited to desks. The set of screws included in the box also allows the mounting plate to be used on a cockpit, so the same kit can follow you if you later move your base to a dedicated rig. For T818 owners whose cockpit requires an adapter, Thrustmaster also offers the separate Cockpit Mounting Kit. Make sure your desk or table is solid enough to support a Direct Drive base before installing. Please note this is a mounting kit only; a T818 or T598 racing wheel base is required and sold separately.
