General
T.A.R.G.E.T is Thrustmaster‘s free programming software, used to test, configure and program the flight stick and combine it with other Thrustmaster controllers in a single profile.
The Thrustmaster AVA F/A-18 Super Hornet Flight Stick is a complete, ready-to-fly joystick that combines Thrustmaster‘s modular AVA (Advanced Versatile Aviation) base with the officially licensed F/A-18C Hornet grip. It is built for military flight simmers who want an authentic fighter stick and a base that can be tuned to their exact preferences, from firm combat tensioning to smoother, lighter settings. Everything needed for desktop flying is in the box, including a Super Hornet-stamped metal desk plate and an offset adapter, so you can go from unboxing to high-intensity air combat in minutes.
The AVA base is configured with interchangeable parts: cams for the axis curve (Aero and Jet), springs for resistance (Soft, Medium and Hard), deflection masks for travel (S, M and XL), and damping via a damper, with stick resistance adjustable on the fly without disassembling the base. Two AXY (Accurate X&Y) sensors allow independent adjustment of the center point, progressiveness and resistance, combined with H.E.A.R.T magnetic technology for maximum precision. On top sits a 1:1 scale replica of the F/A-18C Hornet flight stick, developed under official Boeing license, with a metal structure and 19 action buttons, including an ultra-realistic 2-step trigger and an 8-direction hat switch.
The included offset adapter sets the grip at 15° or 30° for added realism and comfort, while the metal base plate keeps the whole stick stable on a desk. Fully assembled with the offset adapter and grip, the stick measures 128 x 170 x 341 mm and weighs 3459 g, and it connects to your PC with a detachable USB-C cable. The free T.A.R.G.E.T software lets you test, configure and program the stick alongside other Thrustmaster controllers, and the AVA ecosystem keeps growing with extensions, cams, springs and dampers sold separately.
