The Asetek Racing Open D Black Leather Rim is made for sim racers who spend most of their time in GT cars and open-wheel-style racing. Its open top section is the key difference from the Closed D and Round rims in the family: with nothing crossing the upper part of the wheel, your view of the in-game dashboard and any physical display behind the wheel stays clear at all times. It is handmade from genuine black leather for a purposeful, motorsport-inspired look on an Asetek Racing GT Button Box.

Ergonomics drive the design. The rim pairs a well-judged mold with perforated leather, so your hands settle naturally on the grips and stay planted through fast direction changes and long race stints. The 328 mm diameter keeps steering inputs quick and precise, which suits the tight, responsive feel of GT and formula-style cars. Careful hand stitching completes a clean finish, and the leather cover is built to hold up to regular use on the rig.

The rim mounts to any Asetek Racing GT Button Box using the included mounting screws and 2.5 mm Allen key, a purely mechanical installation with no software required. Every rim is handcrafted, so slight variations in stitching, leather stretch and the finish around the corners are to be expected. Drivers who prefer a softer, grippier feel can choose the Open D Black Suede Rim, which shares the same open shape. Please note this is the rim only; a GT Button Box is required and sold separately.
