The Asetek Racing Initium DD10 Direct Drive Wheelbase is the latest addition to the Asetek Racing wheelbase lineup and a first step into sim racing realism with direct drive. Designed and engineered in Denmark, it delivers 10 Nm of consistent, accurate force feedback in a plug and play package, making it a strong choice for drivers moving up from a gear or belt-driven wheel. Its quick release with integrated USB passthrough opens the door to the full Asetek Racing steering wheel range as well as third-party wheels, and an Asetek Racing Xbox-compatible steering wheel lets you race console titles too.
The 10 Nm direct drive motor is paired with a low-latency motor controller and a 5 Nm/ms slew rate, so bumps, kerbs and changes of grip reach your hands the moment they happen on track. A 14-bit absolute encoder reads 16,384 steps per turn, a resolution of 0.022 degrees, for smooth and detailed steering. The base runs from a 96 W power supply, and when you want more strength the Initium Wheelbase Boost Kit swaps the power supply to unlock 14 Nm with a 5.7 Nm/ms slew rate.
Five peripheral connection ports on the rear turn the DD10 into the racing hub for your Asetek pedals and accessories, and it connects to the PC over USB-C. Third-party USB steering wheels can be used through a Universal Quick Release Adapter, sold separately. The base is built from high-grade aluminum, copper and durable polymers. Most cockpits support the Asetek mounting pattern, and the included Bottom Mount Conversion Plate adapts it to a widely used standard. Settings are handled in RaceHub. Please note a steering wheel is required and sold separately.
